Hey dudes,
How ridiculous it it that you can't get a PSP in this country for love or money? The fastest selling handheld of all time!
All the ones that are due in are ALL for preorders anyways so you have no chance of walking in a store and getting one. Thats typical Sony ... thanks a bunch!
What are your thoughts on the machine? Is anyone here getting one? I am in a couple of weeks from the US as I'm popping to New York. Or is everyone gonna wait for the PS3 or Xbox?

Well amigo,
If you cast your mind back, it was the same story with the PS2 when it came out. It's no big deal, in a few months they will be easily available and don't forget, the early versions of consoles/handhelds etc normally have bugs and stuff so getting one a bit further down the line can often work out in your favour.
That said, I REALLY want one! GTA, MSG4 GNNNNGH! But I'll also be getting a XBox 360 and a PS3, but more than likely will wait 6 months to a year after they have been released before investing in one. And the other good thing about waiting is, there will be loads of games available by the time I get one.
Hope you're well today, the Latest Shit has updated as well. ;D
Hmmm... need to sort out those forum rules...

games consoles are defo not my strongpoint, but I love the PSP. The main reason for this is that it is basically a handheld games console, MP3 player and DVD player! To top it off it has a 16:9 widescreen, USB 2.0 and 802.11b (wi-Fi) wireless LAN so you can connect to the internet and other devices in your home and outside, which means wireless gaming against your mates!!
This is a bargain considering a portable DVD player for your car costs a minimum of £150, and will most probably be shite.
I will get either the X-Box 2 or PS3 but will probably wait till there is some feedback on the two machines, I lean towards Sony at the moment but with the X-box running Microsoft software it could be a better bet for a compatible console at the centre of an entertainment system.

Hmmm good points there Dr. and "J" good points!
I am tempted to get an Xbox 360 as WELL as the PS3, so probably will. I am looking forward to the PSP for the features you mention, as well as playing GTA on that little wide screen of love. Just dont like the fact they have upgraded the software from 1.5 to 2.0 so you can no longer play emulators on there.
If you have a psp with 1.5 and do not switch to 2.0 all the new games coming out wont let you run them unless you download it. Thats criminal!

That IS criminal! But I guess they (the games companies) don't want us playing emulators, I dunno why though as no one is gonna buy those old games nowadays anyway so they may as well give them away free.
Bummer man, but hey, at least you can get the likes of GTA: Liberty City Tales and Metal Gear Acid!
GNNNGH!

Really weird but is seems some UK games are getting a release before the US. Ape Academy and Sega Tennis have been out here a few weeks now, but Ape Academy wont see the light of day in the US til Feb 2006, and Sega Tennis is only out next week!
Add that to the fact that we get GTA: Liberty City Stories the same day as the US, it shows we are not behind in therms of releases that much.
Now if only Sony would get there finger out and make more UK units available. Not that I'm bothered as I get mine from NY next week!
